PDQ Computers goes live

We're proud to announce that the second incarnation of the PDQ Computers website went live today

We've been providing website design and maintenance services to PDQ Computers since 2009 and it's always nice when a client returns to us when they feel the time is right to redesign and redevelop their website. Such is the case with PDQ and we're proud to announce that the second incarnation of their website went live today.

The new website represents a great leap forward in terms of the technologies and techniques it's built on. No surprise really given that the previous version delivered seven years of reliable service but even so, seven years is a long time in the world of technology and a lot has changed.

The new site is built on the award winning Craft CMS that we've been basing our client sites on for the past three years. Using Craft makes the site's content incredibly easy to update and gives the site editors a huge amount of control over the appearance and layout of their content. The fun part for us is seeing how quickly our clients take to it and the things they achieve with it once we've handed the site over.

One of the primary aims of the new site was to generate more business leads and we've taken steps to do this by integrating a variety of short but eye-catching forms and calls to action within the redesigned content pages. We've also improved the individual service landing pages by creating teaser areas for each sub-service. This has the benefit of providing an easily linked to landing page that not only introduces the parent service but clearly displays and summarises the sub-services too.

We're really pleased with the site we've designed and developed for PDQ Computers and we're looking forward to working with them and enhancing the new site in the years ahead.
