Geocurve approached us in dire need of a new website. Their existing site was slow, outdated, and not representative of a company that leads their field; all points that we needed to address with the commission of a new website.

As with all our projects, we began with the production and completion of the specification, to which we would gain an understanding of the ideas, sketches or designs the clients may have, including colour schemes and fonts used for the content throughout the site. Once we collaborated with the client during the design process, and once the designs had been approved, it was time to turn them into a working website.

Our client did not have any special requirements in terms of functionality, so we saw this as a perfect opportunity to launch our very first website built with Version 3 of Craft CMS. Craft 3 is reported to be around 3x faster than Craft 2, and included a complete rebuild of the CMS’s core functionality, so we were very excited to get our teeth stuck into it.

As well as being the first site to leave the shop built using Craft 3, this project is also the first to benefit from our new atomic deployment process. In short, this automatically runs a deployment to the live site when certain criteria have been met, for example once the code changes have been published and approved.

We’re very happy with the final result, why not take a look for yourself. You can also read more about our Atomic deployment process in our recent blog post.
