The Furniture Practice wanted a new website to replace their ageing WordPress site and wanted to make the switch to Craft CMS, a superior and easier-to-use content management system.

The client briefed their requirements to us and for this particular project we worked in collaboration with their design agency, IYA Studio, with Enovate being responsible for the website development, web hosting and ongoing support and maintenance and IYA providing the site's design.

The delivery schedule was relatively tight so we discussed and agreed a two-phase development plan, delivering the highest priority elements first and the lower priority elements to follow post-launch.

What we did

What we did

IYA took the reigns at the beginning of the project to draft, iterate and then complete the site's design. During that process we attended regular meetings with the client and IYA to add our input where needed and handle any questions the client raised that were related to the development process, responsive design for different devices and how the content entry process would work for certain areas of the site.

Once the designs had all been completed and approved by the client we dived into the development process, setting up the project's environments and repositories, installing Craft CMS and the plugins required by the project as well as organising website hosting at AWS. Regular meetings were held with the client and IYA to gather feedback, answer any questions the client had and provide an update on our progress and whether we were on track to meet the deadline.

The finished project was delivered on time and within budget and we even managed to find enough time at the end of the project to complete the proposed phase two work that had been scheduled for after the initial launch, much to the delight of the client. We're really pleased with the site we developed for The Furniture Practice and can't wait to see it grow and evolve in the years ahead.
