The Brief
The Institute of Tourist Guiding’s existing website was in need of upgrading - the CMS was hard to use, the design was out-of-date and the approach to responsive design for handheld devices wasn’t up to scratch. The Institute also had ambitions plans to transfer their membership data into a new CRM system - VeryConnect - and to integrate that with the new website.
We pitched a full Craft CMS solution to the Institute that provided a full redesign and redevelopment as well as the aforementioned CRM integration that benefited from our experiences of working with the VeryConnect CRM system on some of our past projects.
We were delighted to be the winning bidder and awarded the contract for the project and excited about getting underway.
What we did
The site is built on Craft CMS version 4 and provides a slick and easy-to-use experience for the Institute’s editors that work to maintain and update the site’s content on a day-to-day basis.
The design makes good use of the Institute’s branding and wealth of stock images to create an engaging user experience that’s both informative and enjoyable to use.
The integration with the VeryConnect CRM threw up a number of challenges that had to be overcome in collaboration with a number of stakeholders but the Institute are delighted with the end result and the feedback from their members and site visitors has been nothing but positive.
We’re looking forward to seeing how the site evolves and building upon the very productive partnership created during the lifecycle of this project.
