Craft CMS has been our content management system of choice since 2013, and we've been an Official Craft Partner since 2018 — one of a small number of agencies in the UK formally partnered with Pixel & Tonic.
Most of the Craft sites we've built are still ours to look after. We host them, support them, and extend them years after launch — so what we know about where Craft holds up comes from running it, not just building on it.
It's our default recommendation for any content-managed website where editors need flexibility and developers need a platform that doesn't get in the way.

- Craft's control panel is widely regarded as the best in the CMS space. Editors can build pages, reorder content, and preview changes without a manual or a developer — and it's still a pleasure to use three years after launch.
- Multi-site and multilingual
- A single Craft installation can power multiple brands, regions, or languages, each with its own content and templates. Ideal for organisations with more than one audience.
- Developer experience
- Craft's Twig templating, PHP plugin architecture, and event system make it straightforward to extend without the typical CMS pain, so we can handle almost any requirement without fighting the platform.
- Editors can't break the design
- Editors get a set of blocks they can combine to build each page — text, images, galleries, video, quotes, callouts, downloads, and custom blocks we design for each project. Every page stays consistent and on-brand.
- Craft-specialised hosting
- We run Craft on our own AWS infrastructure, tuned for Craft's performance characteristics, with backups, monitoring, and SSL as standard. The team that builds your site also runs it.

Why we build on Craft
We’ve tried most of the alternatives over our time in business — WordPress, Drupal, ExpressionEngine, Umbraco, Statamic, and a handful of headless CMSs — and Craft is the one we keep coming back to for content-managed websites.
It’s built around a few principles we agree with: content should be structured, editors should have flexibility without being able to break the design, developers should have clean tools that don’t fight them, and the platform should get out of the way. That combination is why a Craft site we built five years ago is still straightforward to extend today, and why the editors using it rarely need to call us.
Where Craft isn’t the answer
We’d rather tell you this up front than halfway through a project.
For e-commerce we don’t use Craft Commerce. We recommend Shopify for standard online stores and bespoke Laravel builds for complex or deeply integrated e-commerce. That lets Craft stay focused on what it does best: content.
If what you’re building is really an application — users doing work inside it, with workflows, records, and integrations — a CMS will fight you the whole way. That’s a Laravel project, and we’ll say so.
Planning a move to Craft?
The majority of our new Craft projects involve migrating an existing website from another platform. We're experienced with both manual and automated approaches, and we handle the redirect mapping, SEO preservation, and editorial retraining that goes with a platform change.

Pixel & Tonic, the company behind Craft, formally partners with a small number of agencies who have a demonstrated track record with the platform. It means we have a direct line to the Craft team, early sight of what's coming, and a body of delivered work that Pixel & Tonic have reviewed. We've held the status since 2018.
Most Craft builds we deliver land between £10,000 and £50,000 depending on the number of templates, the complexity of the content model, and whether the site is multi-site or multilingual. Smaller brochure sites start lower. We scope every project individually and give you a fixed price before any work begins.
A typical marketing site runs 8–14 weeks from kickoff to launch. Multi-site or multilingual builds take longer, and smaller brochure sites can be quicker. The single most common cause of delay is content arriving late, so we plan that in from the start and flag the risk early.
Yes — most of our new Craft projects are migrations. We handle the content transfer, redirect mapping, SEO preservation, and editorial retraining. We've migrated from WordPress, Drupal, ExpressionEngine, Umbraco, and older Craft 2 and Craft 3 installs.
Craft Solo is free for single-user sites. Craft Pro, which most organisations need, is a one-off licence with an optional annual fee for continued updates. Plugin licences are separate. We handle the purchasing as part of the project and set out the ongoing costs in your proposal, so there are no surprises.
That's the point of building on Craft. We design the content model around how your team thinks about content, and give editors a set of blocks they can combine freely without being able to break the design. We run a handover training session and leave you with documentation.
