Why we recommend Shopify
For most organisations selling online, Shopify is the right answer, and we’re not shy about saying so even though it’s a platform rather than something we build from scratch. It’s genuinely mature, reliable, and supported. PCI compliance, payment processing, fraud handling, hosting scalability, checkout performance, and mobile optimisation are all handled for you, so your team gets to focus on products, marketing, and customer experience rather than infrastructure.
It also scales. Shopify serves small startups and large merchants on the same platform, so a store that grows doesn’t force a re-platforming project a few years down the line.
What we deliver on Shopify
Custom theme design and build. We don’t use off-the-shelf themes as a starting point. Every Shopify store we build has a theme tailored to your brand, your products, and your customers, built on Shopify’s latest theme architecture (Online Store 2.0) so merchandisers can adapt layouts and content without developer help.
Platform migrations. Moving from WooCommerce, Magento, BigCommerce, or an older custom build to Shopify is one of the most common projects we take on. We handle the data migration, redirect mapping, SEO preservation, and integration rebuild so your existing customers don’t notice the move — except that the new site is faster and easier to use.
App integration and custom functionality. Shopify’s app marketplace covers most requirements — reviews, loyalty, shipping, reporting, marketing automation — but there’s always a gap where something needs building: a custom checkout extension, a bespoke product configurator, an integration with your back-office system, or a workflow no off-the-shelf app handles. We build these as Shopify apps or theme extensions so they fit cleanly into the platform.

When Shopify isn’t the right fit
Shopify is a platform, which means some things are deliberately out of bounds. If your business needs highly customised order workflows, tight integration with an ERP or stock system, complex B2B pricing logic, or deep automation that goes beyond Shopify’s APIs, a bespoke Laravel build will serve you better. We’ll tell you honestly which is right for your situation.
Ongoing Shopify support
Shopify stores aren’t one-off builds. They need regular theme updates as Shopify releases new features, app management, performance tuning, and the occasional new campaign landing page. We offer Shopify support on a retainer basis for clients who want a team on hand, or on an ad-hoc basis for smaller ongoing needs.
