The Brief
ParcelBroker’s shipping platform had grown over many years, and its customer-facing front end was ready for a modernisation — a faster, more consistent interface built on a flexible foundation they could keep extending. Alongside that, they had a specific gap to close: customers running online stores on marketplaces such as Shopify and eBay regularly needed to ship many parcels at once, but were forced to handle each one individually through the standard flow.
Whatever we built had to slot neatly into ParcelBroker’s existing white-label Laravel application, feeling like a natural evolution of their platform rather than a bolt-on.
What we did
We began with a full overhaul of ParcelBroker’s customer-facing front end. To keep them close to the work and move quickly, we delivered it first as a clickable prototype — static templates built with the Flux UI component library and Tailwind CSS, deployed to a live URL so the whole experience could be clicked through, tested and iterated on rapidly. The rebuilt quote journey compares live prices from multiple carriers side by side, with address autocomplete and a running price breakdown that updates as an order is built.
Once the design had settled, we converted the prototype into a fully functional build and integrated it into ParcelBroker’s white-label Laravel application, so the new front end sat seamlessly within their existing product.
We were then invited to extend the overhaul into the authenticated My Account area, rebuilding the shipments dashboard, billing and invoices, claims and disputes, customs profiles and account settings on the same Flux UI component system — with consistent, reusable tables, filters and modals throughout.
Lastly, we delivered the marketplace integration and bulk checkout flow. Sellers connect their Shopify and eBay stores to auto-import orders — with a CSV path for the rest — then work through them with per-order consignment cards, reviewing parcel dimensions against a custom box-size library, fetching competitive quotes, and accepting and booking many shipments in a single session. Cross-border orders get a streamlined customs flow — with saved exporter and importer profiles and AI-assisted lookup of HS commodity codes — and once an order ships its tracking is pushed back to the originating store automatically.

A bulk workflow that triages imported orders through per-order consignment cards, then fetches quotes, accepts and books many shipments at once with page-level bulk actions.
Marketplace Integration
Connects sellers' Shopify and eBay stores via OAuth to auto-import orders — with a CSV path for the rest and tracking pushed back to the store once booked — on a pluggable architecture ready for more marketplaces.
Custom Box Size Library
Reviews and adjusts parcel dimensions against a configurable box-size library before fetching competitive shipping quotes.
Streamlined Customs Flow
A sidebar overlay for completing customs declarations on cross-border parcels — including VAT and EORI details and AI-assisted HS commodity-code lookup — without losing the context of the wider order list.
