Cyber Essentials Accreditation

Earlier this morning we received news from our Cyber Essentials assessor that we'd passed Cyber Essentials and have been awarded Cyber Essentials accreditation.

Cyber Essentials Certification mark

Cyber Essentials aims to help organisations implement basic levels of protection against cyber attack, demonstrating to their customers that they take cyber security seriously.

The scheme is available at two levels and we've achieved the first level, Cyber Essentials, which is described as:

Cyber Essentials is an independently verified self assessment. Organisations assess themselves against five basic security controls and a qualified assessor verifies the information provided.

The accreditation is further described as:

The five basic controls within Cyber Essentials were chosen because, when properly implemented, they will help to protect against unskilled internet-based attackers using commodity capabilities – which are freely available on the internet. Organisations that undertake Cyber Essentials are encouraged to re-certify at least once a year and, where appropriate, progress their security.

We're proud to have become a Cyber Essentials accredited company because we understand how important security is and we wanted to demonstrate that to our clients by achieving an official accreditation from an external, government recognised body.
