What are these?

Brief

Brief

The Association of South Essex Local Authorities (ASELA) needed a new website to keep residents across Essex updated with blog posts and opportunities as well as describing the aims of the partnership and any related downloads.

The partnership involves a number of local authorities in Essex and so the website design and photography had to represent a broad spectrum of stakeholders to ensure everyone was well represented.

The new site needed an easy-to-use content management system, which made Craft CMS the perfect fit, and training provided to a number of site editors based at multiple locations.

What we did

What we did

Taking the ASELA logo and colour palette as inspiration for the design we wanted to create a layout that was striking and memorable but not over-the-top as sites with a wide range of colours can often become. We used colour subtly along with whitespace, stunning photography and animation to good effect, giving the overall design a coherence and consistency that we're really pleased with.

Behind the scenes the site is running on Craft CMS version 3.5 and gives the site editors complete control over everything they might need to modify in their everyday roles.

Delivering a site for multiple parties can often be challenging but this project ran smoothly and we're really happy with the end result and glad that the local authorities involved are too.

If you're involved in a similar project and considering a new website we'd love to discuss it with you, just give us a call or an email to get things started.
