What are these?

Brief

Brief

The Norbertine community was established as a canonry of the Order of Canons Regular of Prémontré in 2004, and moved to St. Philip’s Priory, Chelmsford, in 2008. They serve two busy parishes in the city and are also involved in a wide variety of apostolates, both near and far.

The Norbertines approached us with a brief to simplify and modernise their existing online offering, consisting of two websites: one being a static site that was out-of-date, hard to update and lacking in design and responsiveness, the other was a WordPress blog that was frequently updated but hard to find and lacking in modern design and functionality.

We produced a formal proposal outlining our vision for the project: a Craft CMS website with a bespoke design and custom integration with their WordPress blog and were delighted to be selected as the winning agency following the bid process.

What we did

What we did

We started the project with a research and discovery phase so that the whole team understood exactly what the Norbertines wanted from their new website. This involved addressing design likes and dislikes and the technical problems they were facing and defining the best way to go about solving them.

Next came the wireframing and design phase where we tackled the task of creating page designs for each of the main page templates. This is very much a collaboration between our design team and the client ensuring they feel engaged and involved in the design process and the end results meet their expectations.

Once the designs had been signed off we could begin the development process, turning the design artwork into working web pages and integrating them into Craft CMS. As the site came to life we shared our progress with the client, helping to keep them up to speed with our work and feeling involved in the site's development.

During the development process we add the client's copy and images and, once complete, we ask for detailed feedback so that we can make any adjustments necessary before the site is launched and Craft CMS training is delivered to the site's editors.

We're really pleased with how this project turned out and if you're considering a similar project just give us a call or fill out our form.

We used Enovate to design and build a new website for us, and are extremely grateful for all that they have done. The Enovate team were highly professional and very responsive and attentive to our particular needs and expectations. They managed to capture the spirit of our organisation and create from scratch a website which reflects our unique spirit and mission. We could not have wished for a more client-based approach.

As the main link between our organisation and Enovate, I was always made to feel an integral part of the design and development process. It was possible to ask questions and make suggestions at any point, and I received excellent and trustworthy professional guidance from all the team. On the occasions when I visited the Enovate office in Chelmsford, I was made to feel very welcome, and it was a delight to encounter the company's ethos, in which every member seemed valued, and their skills and creativity encouraged.

We have been so impressed by Enovate, that we would have no hesitation in using their services in the future. Personally, I would highly recommend the company to anyone who is looking for website designers, or who wish to build a website from scratch for their company or organisation. It was good to find in Enovate a team that invested so much into our website and which was so attentive to our needs.
