The Brief
Centre Tank Services Ltd have been leading trade distributors of fuel dispensing, storage tank, AdBlue and lubrication equipment since 1987.
The marketing team at Centre Tank Services approached us with a brief to redevelop their existing e-commerce website using Craft CMS and Craft Commerce and to also make some adjustments to the site’s design to introduce a mega-menu navigation system, a new custom landing page template design for PPC campaigns and a new look-and-feel for the site’s news section.
We submitted a detailed proposal outlining how we would deliver the project and were delighted when we received the news that our bid had been successful and we’d been awarded the contract.
What we did
With the project not requiring a full, bespoke design process we were free to dive straight into the development process and started by building out the Craft CMS and Craft Commerce aspects of the site, the former for the site’s content managed pages and the latter for the e-commerce shop and its range of products and product categories.
Whilst the core elements of the site were taking shape we got underway with the site’s new mega menu, an advanced navigation system that made better use of the available screen space and allowed us to organise content and products within categories and with accompanying icons to help visitors find what they are looking for as quickly and easily as possible.
The e-commerce requirements were the most challenging part of the project and required a lot of time and effort to achieve exactly what the client wanted but we were able to deliver by using the flexibility and extensibility of Craft Commerce.
The staff at Centre Tank Services are delighted with the work we completed for them and we’re looking forward to working with them in the years ahead to further develop and enhance the website.
