Why we build on Laravel

For custom web application work, Laravel is the right answer more often than any other framework. It’s the most popular PHP framework by a wide margin, backed by a well-resourced core team, surrounded by a mature ecosystem of packages and tooling, and (crucially) easy enough to maintain that the application we build for you today will still be workable in five years.

We’ve been building with Laravel since the framework’s early days and it now underpins the majority of our bespoke application work, much of our integration and automation work, and the foundation layer of our AI projects.

What Laravel is good at

Custom business applications. Internal tools, client portals, operational dashboards, bespoke CRMs, member areas, workflow systems, and anything else where an off-the-shelf product doesn’t fit. Laravel gives us fast, structured access to the features every application needs (authentication, authorisation, background jobs, event systems, APIs, and database migrations) so we spend our time on the parts that are unique to your project.

Bespoke e-commerce. When Shopify doesn’t stretch to cover your order workflows, pricing rules, or system integrations, Laravel is where we build it. B2B account-based pricing, quote-to-order workflows, configurable products, tight ERP or stock integration. Laravel handles it all, and we can pull in mature packages like Laravel Cashier for subscription billing when they fit.

System integration and automation. Laravel’s queue system, event broadcasting, and API tooling make it a natural choice when a project involves pulling data from multiple sources, automating workflows, or acting as the orchestration layer between systems that don’t naturally talk to each other.

AI delivery. Most of our AI Implementation projects are delivered as Laravel applications. Laravel handles the data layer, the scheduling, the API integration with AI services, and the front-end, while the AI-specific work happens inside well-isolated components we can test and evolve independently.
