Shopify: for standard online retail

For most organisations launching or relaunching an online store, Shopify is the right answer. It’s a mature, well-supported platform with a huge ecosystem of apps, themes, and integrations that cover the vast majority of standard retail requirements. We design and build custom Shopify themes, integrate third-party apps, and configure Shopify to match your brand and your operations, without the cost and complexity of building a bespoke system from scratch.

Shopify is usually the right choice when:

• You’re selling physical or digital products through a fairly standard buying process
• You need to be live quickly with a professional storefront
• You want a platform that scales with you without re-platforming later
• Your team needs to manage products, orders, and customers day-to-day without developer involvement

Bespoke Laravel: for complex and integrated e-commerce

Some e-commerce projects don’t fit the Shopify mould. If your business involves complex pricing rules, B2B account workflows, tight integration with existing ERP or CRM systems, multi-step order processes, membership and subscription logic, or operational workflows that cross multiple teams, a bespoke Laravel application is almost always the better answer. You end up with a system built around your business, not one you’ve had to twist your business to fit.

Bespoke Laravel e-commerce suits organisations who:

• Sell to other businesses with account-based pricing and approval workflows
• Need deep integration with stock management, accounting, or despatch systems
• Have bespoke order workflows: quote-to-order, configured products, multi-stage fulfilment
• Want a system that can grow into a broader operations platform over time
