We like to employ user testing at the very earliest stages of a project, at a point where changes can be made quickly and easily with minimal inconvenience and cost to you, the client.
Sometimes, what the client wants to do with their website isn't necessarily what's best your for customers and as we all know, the customer is king! So by carrying out a round (or rounds) of user testing we can take an evidence based approach to developing your website and the functionality within it.
We often recommend regular user testing rounds with a sample size of 3-5 users. We can recruit users that match the target audience of your website and set them a series of tasks to complete on the website, whilst asking them to articulate their thought process verbally and recording their actions using screen recorder software. At the end of the tests we can watch a video of each user's experience with the site and their ability to complete the tasks set and use their experiences to help define our development approach.
